Five minutes with Jean Gutierrez, certified sound healer and grief specialist. She uses gongs and crystal bowls to help you slow down and come back to yourself when the loss is sitting heavy.

Release, then receive

The name is the instruction. The first part of the session is about letting the sound loosen what you've been holding, and the second is about letting something steadier in. Jean's phrase for the whole practice is the same one she uses in her long sessions: relax and receive. There's nothing to do and nothing to fix.

How to use it

This is the one to reach for in the moment, like before a hard phone call or in the car before you walk back into a house that's too quiet. Close your eyes, breathe with the first tones, and let the bowls and gongs carry the rest. Five minutes is enough to change the state you walk out in.

Go longer when you can

If this works for you, Jean's ten-minute Stillness session is the next step, and her monthly live sound baths for the community are the full experience.
