Stillness: A 10-Minute Sound Bath to Soothe Pet Loss Grief

Not every day has room for a forty-minute session. This ten-minute sound bath with Jean Gutierrez, certified sound healer and grief specialist, is designed to calm your nervous system and make room for whatever needs to come out, in the time you have.

What this session is

A short, restorative sound bath. Jean uses sound and breath to help you find stillness and balance in the middle of grief, when the body is holding more than it can process. Ten minutes is long enough for your nervous system to downshift and short enough to fit into a lunch break or the few minutes before bed.

How to use it

Sit or lie down somewhere you can close your eyes. Take a breath in through the nose and let it out slowly, then let the sound take over. You don't need to do anything with what comes up. Notice it, let it pass, and come back to the sound. When it ends, give yourself a moment before you stand up.

When you have more time

Jean's longer sessions go deeper: Releasing Grief at 45 minutes, and the 50-minute nervous system reset. This one is a good place to start.
